And either way, to reiterate, you're not obliged to complete it immediately, you're not locked in like the War Within. Some people, mostly newer, did not have the time waiting for the Sacrifice update to prepare, but on the other side of the coin, plenty of us were here waiting for the update and had that time to prepare. I know it's a two sided argument as all are. You're not obliged to finish the quest immediately right then and there, you can stop and go prepare via focus farming and trying to build up an amp. And again, if you're the one who isn't prepared, that's on you. The situation you're describing sounds pretty fine, moving through the room trying to avoid his attacks while shooting him. ![]() As opposed to either A: instantly killing/beating them with a press of a button as we usually do with our frames ( and can definitely do as an operator if we are prepared), or B: standing in each other's faces trying to out-DPS the other? If you have to fight something for more than 3 seconds it becomes an awkward dance of throwing yourself around the level peppering them with damage until they go down grinding the game to a halt. Naturally, this is just my opinion and the manner in which I drew conclusions.Originally posted by UnlivingEnd:Fights in this game have no flow. By extension, we can surmise that it's probable that the Umbra have no Operators and operate (ha) on their own accord. Whatever may be the case, I'm 100% sure the Stalker is an Umbra. It could be that this theoretical Operator is dead, but it could also mean that the Somatic Link broke somehow and Stalker was left to fend for himself for whatever reason. The low Guardians? Could those have been Umbra? Warframes without Operators?ĭE have said that the Umbra will represent a darker side of Warframe's universe could that mean that they murdered their own Operators? Again, whoever controlled the Stalker's Frame is spoken about in past tense - they're gone. Are they the Umbra? I'm not too sure about them, but I'm positive Stalker is. He's talking about his own kind here - we know he has Acolytes. Let's take a look at Stalker's Codex entry as well - "Some have walked these desolate worlds while you slept." Note how Hunhow asked Stalker if he can truly believe that is what he was. In all likelihood, the Umbra have no Operator. What does this mean? A lot of things, actually it tells us that the Umbra already exist in the lore, even though certain assets had to be reappropriated a tad bit to make it fit nicely. The above information I'm sure of, down below follows some of my own deduction. Here's the kicker, though - in Latin, Umbra is shadow, so Hunhow is quite literally telling us during his communication with the Stalker that he is an Umbra. Everybody's noticed this, but the reasoning behind this has seemingly been unclear aside from the fact that everybody's favourite edgelord will somehow be connected to the Umbras. The second component is the fact that Stalker's body has recently been updated to a new model - that of the Umbra Excalibur. The first component is the manner in which Hunhow refers to the Stalker - he calls him 'Shadow' on numerous occassions. It consists of two major components which I will discuss in some detail here, although I feel that everything is already in front of us, as was the case with the Second Dream. ![]() The information inferred here comes mostly from the Second Dream, so beware of spoilers. ![]() It's a fairly straightforward theory, which I feel everything is pointing towards.
